The District might be the stage where highly important people debate the future of a nation, but it’s also home for heroes that stand from the very bottom to make things better. Like this crossing guard, who makes everyone’s morning more agreeable. In the background of the image, the Hughes Memorial tower (the tallest structure in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area, with 761ft) rises above the gray patch of shops in Georgia Avenue NW.

This image is part of the series 'Postcards from Washington DC' that aims to represent the contrasting life in the capital.

POSTCARDS are 5.47x4.21" printed on recycled matte paper. The postcards come in a clear sleeve and they are shipped in a paper envelope. We use First-Class Mail, unless with another item.

PRINTS are 8x10", 11x14" or 16x20", including 1/4" border for framing. Open edition printed with professional archival inks on acid-free, 100% cotton rag for long term durability (museum-quality giclée). Stamped and signed on the back. The prints are packaged in a protective sleeve with a sturdy backing board in a rigid kraft mailer. We care about the environment, so we ship using recycled or reused materials whenever possible.
